Vision Pro 2 Leak Shows Smaller, Lighter, and Actually Affordable?

Apple’s next-gen mixed reality headset might be a game-changer — not just for its tech, but also for your wallet. According to multiple leaks and insider reports, the upcoming Vision Pro 2 will reportedly be smaller, lighter, and significantly cheaper than the original $3,499 Vision Pro.
The original headset drew attention for its power but faced criticism for being too bulky and expensive for everyday use. Apple seems to have listened. The new device is rumored to be up to 40% lighter thanks to a titanium internal frame, and could be priced between $1,500 to $2,000.

Internally, Apple is said to be working on a cheaper model possibly called “Vision Air”. It may launch before the actual Vision Pro 2 and will likely use the M4 chip with optimizations for power efficiency and battery life.
Noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that a full Vision Pro 2 with ultra-premium features could still arrive later — perhaps in 2026 or 2027 — while this new device is aimed at mass market adoption.
- ✅ Titanium internal chassis = much lighter build
- ✅ M4/M5 chip = better performance, less heat
- ✅ Expected price = $1,500 – $2,000
- ✅ “Vision Air” may arrive before Vision Pro 2
“Apple is shifting focus toward mainstream AR adoption by prioritizing a more affordable model before the high-end Vision Pro 2.” – TechPowerUp
Whether Apple can truly balance high-end specs with affordability remains to be seen — but if these leaks hold up, 2025 might finally be the year spatial computing becomes… well, actually practical.
📌 Final Thoughts
Apple betting big on lighter, cheaper XR tech means they’re aiming to make spatial computing go mainstream. If the Vision Air (or Pro 2) hits shelves at this price — expect a major shift in the AR headset race.
